NCCoE Learning Series Webinar

Date/Time: Thursday, June 24, 2021 | 3 p.m. EDT
Duration: 30 minutes plus Q&A
Technical Level: Technical

Description:

Join us for a technical deep dive into National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 1800-22, Mobile Device Security: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)!

Many companies allow employees to use their personal devices for work activities. This increasingly common practice, known as “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD), promotes flexibility, mobility, and efficiency for businesses and their employees, but it can also present unique security and privacy challenges to both employers and device owners.

In this project spotlight Gema Howell will provide an overview of the NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) technical cybersecurity guidance for BYOD mobile devices, including the following topics:

  • implementing enterprise mobility management
  • integrating mobile threat defense
  • utilization of application vetting
  • leveraging a trusted execution environment
  • applying virtual private network services
