Background
While organizations use NIST guidelines such as SP 800-53 and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) to establish supply chain risk management objectives, they struggle to obtain the pedigree and provenance needed to meet those objectives. Current solutions for supply chain visibility are often fragmented and sector-specific, complicating efforts to validate product authenticity and integrity across intersecting supply chains.
The newly finalized Meta-Framework addresses these challenges by providing a standard way to connect product information across different industries and regions.
