Seeking Technology Collaborators: Multifactor Authentication for e-Commerce

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released a Federal Register notice (FRN) for the Multifactor Authentication for e-Commerce project. This notice invites technology vendors to participate in the project build.

This project aims to help retailers implement stronger authentication mechanisms to ensure the user is authorized to use the card for e-commerce, card-not-present transactions, using standards-based commercially available and/or open source products. The FRN launches a collaborative effort between the NCCoE and technology companies to address cybersecurity challenges identified in the Multifactor Authentication for e-Commerce project description. All interested organizations are encouraged to request a Letter of Interest.

If you have any questions or would like to request a Letter of Interest, please don’t hesitate to contact the project team at consumer-nccoe@nist.gov
