NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence is seeking public feedback on a project to improve internet of things sensors used to keep track of the physical environment in a building, including security and safety. “Detecting and preventing an attack are challenging because IoT sensor networks typically have limited processing power and a constrained ability for security monitoring and maintenance,” the center explained. The project will also delve into the security requirements of the devices themselves. Comments are open through March 18.
