The letter, sent April 27 by Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and ranking member Patty Murray (D-Wash.), asked the GAO to identify the types of “cyber threats” facing health IT systems and potential consequences of those threats.
