The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence ('NCCoE') at the National Institute of Standards and Technology ('NIST') published, on 26 May 2020, its final cybersecurity practice guide ('the Guide') that aims to enhance the energy sector's asset management capabilities for operational technology. In particular, the Guide is an updated version of the draft that was released last year and addresses a number of characteristics of asset management including asset discovery, asset identification, asset visibility, asset disposition, and alerting capabilities.
