In coordination with the President’s upcoming Cybersecurity Summit, NIST and Stanford University will co-host a workshop on February 12, 2015 for chief technology and security executives to discuss implementing advanced cybersecurity and privacy technologies in consumer-facing organizations.
Nate Lesser, deputy director of the NCCoE, will be presenting at the FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool Deep Dive Workshop on Jan. 26 at Jones Day in Washington, DC.

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) and the Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) at the University of Minnesota, in collaboration with members of the medical devices manufacturing and user community, have drafted a use case focused on the security of wireless medical infusion pumps. The two organizations will officially launch the new use case at an event on Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Minnesota. Gavin O’Brien, the NCCoE project leader for this use case, will attend, along with the leadership of the TLI and Minnesota Congressman Erik Paulsen.

On November 5-6, 2014, student guest researchers from the NCCoE will be available in the exhibit hall to explain their work at the NICE Conference and Expo in Columbia, Md. The students, who are enrolled in various programs across the University System of Maryland, have been working on example solutions to cybersecurity challenges faced by the energy, financial services, and health IT sectors.
